The truth is that your consumers are going to choose benefits over features every time, and I mean every time. Why? If you are purchasing an LED online, do you want to know that your LED is an edge-lit LED or do you want to know how its slim profile is going to make your living room look amazing? However, it’s not just about listing the benefits; it’s about how you list them that truly makes it effective internet marketing.
2 – Mention Unique Features in Bullets
While detailing features is not as effective as benefits, it’s still important to mention them. You see, your consumers will read the benefits but they will look at the features when comparing your product with that of someone else’s.
As such, when writing about product features, always list them as bullet points. Doing so helps significantly improve readability and, as a result, marketability.
3 – Use the Right Words
One of the top internet marketing strategies involves not just mentioning features but using the right words to describe them. Using the same LED example, instead of listing “watch movies in 3D,” write “Immerse yourself in a cinematic movie experience like never before with (brand) 3D”. While both say the same thing, the latter is a lot more enticing.
